Autolocks have failed many times. Hood locks are good for deterring n00b theives, but all you need is a crow bar and theyre useless.

Very easily.

You can use the club buster thing that was linked up above. Or there are various ways you can break/bend things around it. It might stop a n00b thief who just wants to joyride. But most of the thieves who wants your parts will know exactly how to get around most everything.

Just think, how well do you know your Honda? Could you steal your own car if you had to? If you can, think how many others can.

It takes me about 20-30 seconds to get into any Honda and start it (a bet I made with my friend....he didn't care if I busted his ignition column). Note, he had an alarm, starter kill, and club.

Hey all,

Let's take the tow truck out of the equation. Let's just say there isnt enough room for a tow truck or whatever. But let's take it out of the equation. If we do that, along with club, autolock, kill switches, etc... is that enough to prevent the car from getting stolen?

Basically what I am saying is, can you actually have a setup that's so damn annoying and so much to do that the only way is to tow the car?

No.....

Unless you have an S2000 or NSX, there will always be ways around other Hondas.

I guess if put numerous kill switches in weird locations on weird electrical components, I suppose it could work.

How would an s2k or nsx be unstealable? And is it possible to hide a fuel pump kill switch if your car is gutted?

This is just what I've heard. You can't really steal those cars by conventional methods. Only by towing. Trust me, I know. I had an S2000.

Just by owning Hondas for many years, I can see that a "normal" Honda like a Civic/Integra would be easy to steal. I work on them all the time and I can see their weak points. I couldn't see anything on my S2000. I'm almost positive the NSX is the same.

There's always a method to the madness...

Layering security is the best defense. A car with the autolock takes more time to steal than one without. Same goes for the hood lock.

I have also beat that clubbuster thing. Just use your imagination and you can make that useless for them.

Not to be blunt, but what does installing leather seats have to do with anything

The end point is, if a thief wants your car, its his. There are ways around all types of alarms and what not. But if you have multiple layers of defense then it is less likey to be stolen.
