Default Engine troubles on '93ex

Hey everyone. I just got my first car a few months ago. Its a '93 ex 4 door. Its got a d16z6 in it.
Basiclly the problem is when the engine gets to high rpms (5000+) in any gear the engine check light turns on and then the engine goes into "limp mode" Where it wont rev above 3500 rpm.
I have already changed the ECU and it still does the same thing.
Any advice you have would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance.

First, figure out what code(s) you're throwing.

Then use search (be sure to look at "recent" and "archived" topics) to find out ways in which others have fixed the problem.

...Hope you get it straightened out.

Thanks for responding so promptly. However neither me nor my friend can find the tester plug. This guy posted the same problem about not being able to find the tester plug. (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=867877)
Any insight to where it might be on the 'EX cause its not where any of the guides say it should be.
Thanks in advance.

Its on the pass side kickpanel. You might have to look a bit if its never been used to retrieve codes before.

yea right up under the outside bottom corner of the glovebox, by the top of the speaker cover when the door is closed. its got 2 harnesses both together in a larger green rubber cover. the harness you need is the one with 2 holes in it

I've seen a lot of wires there but they all seem to be attached to plugs. Is this one supposed to be unconnected? Also I've heard its a gray two wire plug, is that correct?
Thanks in advance.
