ok i have a question regarding the glass on the rear hatch

would the stock OEM one be reusable?

where would i be able to get some lexan or other lighter "glass"? and for how much??

Oem is still usable and you can purchase lexan throung summitracing.com....I know VIS and Importfan.com are good quality carbon fiber hatchs

 

Are you sure you can use the stock glass? I didn't think you could, but it would be pointless because the glass is really heavy.

He is right. The glass is the heaviest part of the rear hatch. Flex-a-lite makes a lexan rear window for the Tegs. If you mate that with a fiberglass or carbon fiber hatch, you'd be shedding a good bit of weight.

Can't say that I do. But it doesn't seem like a 5 minute install. Especially with new glass. If you're going to have the glass changed, I would have a pro do that. As far as swapping the rear hatch, it doesn't seem TOO difficult, but you would def. need 1 or 2 more people for help.

 

YES , its a 2 person job, those hatches are heavy with the glass in them . im ure you cna use the stock glass, but its heavy.
