HELP!! Anyone familiar with Honda Cellular Telephone??
Is anyone familiar with Honda Cellular Telephone P/N 08E01-SV4-100F ??
It is a Honda-branded in-dash 3W unit (manufactured by Motorola) designed to mount below the radio in the Prelude, Odyssey and CR-V (and probably others).
It automagically mutes the radio audio and the telephone audio is directed to the right front door speaker. It works VERY WELL.
I am selling my 1998 CR-V and buying a 2004 Honda Accord (or whatever) and want to keep my phone and install it in the new car.
Honda Canada personnel that I have spoken with are barely aware that the telephone ever existed and can offer no assistance.
I have the telephone user manual and the install instructions (which are written for the Odyssey).
I believe that the unit simply attaches with a Y-cord which inserts between the existing Honda radio and the existing Honda wiring harness which I further believe is an EIA standard setup.
Does anyone have any experience with this setup??
Michael.
