There is no problems with high compression.

Too much will just need more octane.

i realize it might not be a smart thing to do but your saying technically i could put some 13:1 pistons in my stock b16 as long as i ran with some high octane gas?

Tuning and higher octane fuel, yes. And yes that would be VERY stupid...^

well it would be a good idea to get a better head gasket as it will have a better chance of leaking or blowing if you have higher comp, and yeah higher octane gas will def be a good idea, if you want to go really high with the comp youre going to want to do some valve train work

ok, that brings me to another question, around what compression can i run on 93 comfortably. i dont want to be on the edge of something going wrong.

11:5 or a little higher would probably be fine then. Just don't push the engine until it is TUNED

If you don't have big enough cams, higher compression will blunt your high end power. The piston loses velocity as it heads towards TDC quicker, with higher compression.
