Well my abs(surprisingly) worked perfectly until I did the legend brake upgrade...all the brakes and abs pump have been properly bled. Just wondering if anybody else had this problem with the 94-95 integras or if it just happened to go out at the same time I did the upgrade.

code 18 - accumulator gas leak(aka big brown can).
Im not sure because I know the 94-95s are prone to the abs being busted and considering that I put in a new(used) abs unit and it throws the same code I figured its probably the "common problem" for the year, but I didnt know if the bigger brakes might have something to do with it not pressurizing properly or something.

Does it throw the code immediately when you start? After resetting? I'm not sure, but I think the ABS doesn't have any way to 'know' about the bigger brakes, until you lock your wheels & the ABS actually operates. I think the pump-up & self-check when you start the car is pretty much self-contained.

Sometimes it throws a code and sometimes it does. Ive reset it a few times and it still comes on. Im pretty sure that youre right about it being a self-contained unit and probably doesnt know about the "bigger brakes", I just didnt know because the ABS unit/block acts as the distribution block on our cars, so if all the fluid from the MC has to flow through it I figured a bigger brake(that holds more fluid) might throw it off if it was made for the smaller fluid capacity

I dont know, I might cut into mine to see exactly how it works. Obviously it being broken/not pressurizing/whatever doesnt effect braking so it would seem pretty obvious that its a sealed/closed unit unless you engage abs. Also when you unhook the brake lines from the abs unit the fluid in the unit stays in it and doesnt drain out, so thats another point about it being a closed unit.

Wha? You removed the ABS light from the gauge cluster and this solved your problem? Sorry buddy but its kinda like Homer Simpson cover the engine check light with a sticker.
The ABS light is on because there is a pressure leak in the ABS system. Check if there are leaks. If so then rememdy the problem.

hahaha, taking out the bulb was the solution for me. There weren't any leaks, I had cured the problem of the abs unit sounding like a dinosaur upon startup, and I haven't had any problems with actual braking, so I haven't taken any more time to fix the problem. If further problems arise because of teh abs, I'll fix it. until then, I'll be like Homer
