Good engine ECU combo?
Probably a NOOB question but sorry guys bare with me I am trying to get started in all this.
Hey I have the B16A engine running a Mugen(sp) ECU is this a good combo? what are the differences in the ECU's? It is just me or does these seem to run rich? I am getting like 22 MPG max city and thats full tank shifting about 4000-4500 no vtec?
Engine is stock except intake and exhuast: I am looking into integra type R cams with cam gears though.

Why do people even include this in their post? The "noob" questions are always obvious, this just makes them worse.
So what is done to your B16A? All of the chip programs, Mugen, Skunk2,Spoon, etc...are going to make your vehicle run richer than stock.
They are setup for advanced ignition timing and fuel maps. If you engine is stock, it's probably a waste of fuel on your part and would be better to put a stock ecu back in. Also, most of those ECU's lower VTEC crossover point and raise redline, which, for most stock engines, is not helpful at all.

exactly..what are your mods? Most of my b16a customers like the mugen program the most....but its really only beneficial if your motor is built... cams, bolt ons, pistons, etc. The more its built, the better and stronger your car will run w/ the mugen program.
