I don't have a GSR but I like to launch my LS/VTEC around 3-3.5k and feather the gas and clutch, so I don't spin too much... However, you have to be very precise or you end up with shitty 60ft. times like the one in my sig...

launching in VTEC range cant be a good idea....alot of stress on the car...id launch anywhere between 3000 - 4500 RPMS, depending on tires / clutch etc.

damn 15.3 for LS with intake. Nice run. By feathering you mean by just steping and letting go of the accelerator repeditavly rite?

like easing into/out of it.. like ease into the gas till you can feel that the tires are right about to break lose.

i make sure i do a good burn out before i stage up and race.........then i hold the gas at 38-4200 rpm....drop the clutch when i see the the last yellow light on the tree.......and floor the baby!!!! your tires will spin, but you should hook up right when you get into vtec..........then again, practice makes perfect...do what you feel comfortable with.

My launch control is set at 6200. With drag radials I pull 2.0 60fts all day long.

i was practicing my launches on my way home from school for the past week. i noticed that @ 4k i lose traction and car the starts to drift to the right (no lsd). i think this could add on a few tenths of a sec on the track. at 3k it peels out a lil, but it grabs the road quicker. this is w/ tires @ max psi. (40)

edit- i have hr sports, wynstar tires 205/40/16,apexi n1 catback exhaust

other then that, everything else is stock.

I used to drop the clutch at 6k on my Advan A460's. It would give me a little wheelspin, but then grab hard. For some reason I can't do that anymore (maybe the tires are dead?), and now I try to launch around 3.5k and feather the clutch. I couldn't get a good launch down at the track though

it all depends on your setup, tires, and road surface.

idk how to explain it but there are noticable differences between street and strip launches....
-how long you spin
-surface heat
-how it grabs
-when it grabs

good luck at the track maing..dont let the tree *** you launches
