Default Adapting stock seatbelt for aftermarket seats.

I'm gonna figure something out, but my helm is at the dyno right now (gotta go grab that), figured i'd ask those who've done it what route they took...i need to get the seat belt clasp from the stock seat to somewhere safe on the car...i figure it'll probbaly suffice to bolt it to that big angry bottom bolt on the right rear of the driver's seat base mount....just wanna see if anyone has insights. Thanks!

Aleph - what slider are you running? And, what seat are you running?

I'm putting a sparco Evo with the sparco basemount and siderails...i got the slider, but don't think i'm going to use it (in the interest of height). I just finished re-drilling their fuggin basemount to actually fit the seat. I'll post pics etc. on our site sometime, probably this evening if i have any energy left. Gotta go grab my helm from Speednation before Mike sells it on Ebay

I just installed a Corbeau Targa RS in my car last nite. My seat belt bolted right to the Corbeau rail, and the rail and seat bolted together w/ out any modifying, you really have to drill the Sparco Brackets to attach a Sparco seat to it?

I have a friend with some corbeaus, he had no problems with the brackets either...it's funny, the seat is of fantastic quality, but the holes on the brackets were pretty far off. Because it's a racing bucket, it's not meant to be used with stock belts, unlike your more streetable corbeaus. but, it does only weigh 15 lbs, and it fits like a catsuit. I grabbed an old civic seatbelt buckle (the buckle on the end of a cable with a big mount), i may put that to use with the floor bolt...not sure if that'll be as strong as i want it to though. Oh well, in a couple of months the bar will be in and 6-point goodness will be in effect.

well, i plan on keeping both seats, so i'll daily drive with a 6-pt. when necessairy, and use the stock seat when i'm not racing as much etc. I'm working on ways to use the stock belt, we'll see what comes of that...it may be that i'll have to wait until i get the rollbar until i can use the seat effectively, but if that's the case, no problem.
