I just put a ITR tranny in my gsr and cant get the driver side axle in. I dont know why has anyone else had this trouble? Is the R trans diff. from gsr?? I wouldnt think so but if they are hell I aint know. anyway I need to know what to do bout this ****!!!!!!!!! oh I got the pass. side in but the driver side got stuck and now it wont go in or come out.????

 

Splines are the same.

It should slide in like butter.

 

i just swapped in a jdm itr trans in my gsr and didnt have much trouble at all with the drivers side axle......... put some high temp synthetic grease on the axle and on the intermediate shaft splines........... kinda wiggle it around and it will eventually slide right on........

 

how hard is this swap? curious in doing it myself.

jus curious. but besides the LSD is the shorter gears in the R better for the GSR motor?? I figured since the gsr has the best mid range that it was better w/ the slightly longer gears.
