$1000 for a USDM H22A? good price??
is this a good price for just the motor?...it has 39k miles on it....havnt checked out the condition yet but will soon...he also has the tranny but its an auto seq. shift...he was asking 1500 for both also...i dont think this is including the ecu or anything else...
That price sounds way too low to me. I would be very cautious...
An H22a longblock with only 39k mi. would normally sell for at least twice that...
Buyer beware.

yea its still in the the car according to guy that was selling it...the car is totaled...he says the motor still clean and has no leaks...he also says he has the papers...i will be able to take a look at it this weekend...what should i look for in the papers
Hopefully the car is still pretty much intact - If that's the case, since the engine still in the car, you should hopefully be able to start it up and see that the motor runs - assuming that the other equipment needed to start the motor has not been picked apart. You should also be able to verify the milage on the motor by the odometer in the car and the salvage title paperwork.
It sounds like you stumbled onto a great deal! The guy selling it either does not know the market value of the motor, or he knows there is something really wrong with it...

Try to get everything else like Throttle body and such, see how much the price will change. Also tell him to contact ya when he has it out. Those engines normally cost about 4-5grand.
yea when i saw this in the paper my eyes got hella big...i just finished my B18C hybrid...maybe ill start another one...im pretty sure its going the have the throttle body and all the stuff its suppose to

The price isn't that low. H22's seem to be dropping in price like crazy these days. You can find 97+ H22's w/ low mileage for around $1200 pretty easily.
