When Separating Front Hub from Spindle, Do I need to Replace Wheel Bearing?
I need to replace a couple of damaged wheel studs. To do this I need to separate the hub from the spindle (any advice on this?).
Will I trash the front wheel bearing in this process? With 86K miles on the ITR, should I just replace the wheel bearings regardless?'

its not a necessity, but you should just because the bearing could be roughed up a bit when seperating the hub from spindle. If you carefully took it out i don't see why you would need to replace it. but if it were me i would just replace it because Its one of those things that would make me sleep better. Hope this helps..

yes the bearing is a sealed unit, never needs greasing. i did this once, repacke it with grease and put it all back together andlow and behold it started making noise and shaking a little. the dealer had to press a new one in for me. i just brought them the whole arm $45 part $60 labor.
