just curious what you guys would do first if you had my car
I just recently bought my car 2 months ago from an auction
1994 LX Coupe 4cyl
i had to either pick from that car or a 1994 EX Sedan VTEC because that was within my price range, i ended up getting the LX because it was in a lot better condition than the EX, but i know i regret getting the VTEC tho, i do like the 2dr better tho hehe. i changed timing belt, and muffler, put on my stereo with rockfords, mid-height spoiler, paintjob plus bodywork(2000$)
it had a lot of scratches and huge dents plus it was teal, its black now, and a couple decals and an alarm. I'm thinking about getting an AEM intake or first getting a black widow body cause i wanna see how low my car would drop with that kit, then put on some konig rims, what would you guys do with that 4cyl tho? thanks guys

um i would swap h22a1 in it, forget the kit, get some nice light wheels, flywheel and clutch for the h22 and do a nice cat-back and intake, depends on how far you want to go really
the AEM intake is a good start but the reality of it is that without a pretty good sum of money the engine just isn't going to put out that much power with limited upgrades. Look into saving your money and doing a H22A swap or Forced induction if you want the power. As far as the show goes I am not very well versed in that region because all I really worry about is the go.
ack thats a little too much now, i think i'm just gonna add on some minor stuff like intake, exhaust, etc because from what I hear the 4 cyl LX accelerates a little quicker than the EX because its a little lighter but the VTEC kicks in at a later time so it can actually beat an LX past 60, this is just from what i read
No offense, but you get very little reward in modding an LX engine.
I have helped my friend to mod his LX. AEM CAI + DC Ceramic header + Greddy PE = loss of low end torque. The midrange and top-end are still very weak.
I'd suggest you to get a swap right away, or go all show for a while till you conjure up with the money for the swap.

The H22s (Prelude engines) make 195~200 HP. I guess your LX is around 125 HP or so? So that'd a ~75 pony gain.
These engines put out way more power to the wheels than the Accord engine makes at the crank.

**** all that good looking ****. if it looks fast it hast to be fast. if it looks slow, but is fast, that's even more rewarding. all show, no go = sucks
