What spring rates are the neuspeed springs? I have some skunk2 springs (350 lb/in in front, 450 lb/in in back) with coilovers on Tokico Illuminas. I haven't gotten a chance to take the car on the racetrack yet but in the limited street driving I've done with the car the suspension is firm but won't kill you unless you drive over a crater (pot hole).
Thats actually the set-up I am running. I like them alot. I've had them in for about 6 years and no problems. The shocks are re-buildable which is nice, and neuspeed springs are guaranteed never to sag. Mine haven't at least. Don't go on a road trip with your shocks set to 5 though. Beat the crap out of my kidneys
. Handles real good and a comfortable ride. Good bang for the buck

thanks guys...i'm thinking about goin with this setup...i have neuspeed race already...my stocks are gettin beat!!!
I have this exact same set-up but I dont know why my ride is soo bad. It makes all sorts of noises and I can feel every single bump in the road.

does any one have pics of your dc2 w/ tokico illumina's and neuspeed race? I had the neuspeed sports w/ my tokico's before, but wasnt quite low enough for me......so now i have skunk2's, which is cool, but i miss the ride quality of an actual full spring. thanks in advance

so does everyone think its a good idea to get Illumnas? or should i go with Koni Yellows...i know Koni's are way better...but the price is a ton more...
Neuspeed races/Illumina's is one of my favorite combo's I had them on oter cars and now on my prelude, wouldn't get anything else for shock/spring combo, coilovers are a diff story (REAL coilovers NOT sleeves)

Well the Konis have a lifetime rebuild warranty so you can't go wrong there. That said if the money you'd save between the two (which is only about $200-300) is significant to you go with the cheaper option. The difference in performance is not going to be too great on the street, especially with lower spring rates.

konis rock. you can find them new for 500 shipped (i think one of h-t's sponsors)...
what do tokico's go for? 375 or so???
the price difference is definately worth it.
why?
#1. neuspeed race's will give you a lower drop in the back than in the front...and you can correct for that by putting the konis on the top rung in the back, and the lower in the front.
#2. the koni name. you know that they'll last for the life of the car...at least.

This is with H&R Race and Illuminas. The H&R Race and Nuespeed Race springs are almost identical. I'm on setting 2/3 and its firm, but not harsh. I have yet to set it stiffer as I don't have an adjustment tool.
