Default car overheating?

have a 91 civic si with a 99 d16y7 and the car tries to overheat. I have checked fuses and everything there is ok. I have power going to the fan realy but i have no power from the relay to the fan connector. Any ideas on what it can be? or any other test that i can do? thanks for you help

you gotta wait till you get to operating temperature till the relay opens allowing power to the fan, if you did that then im assuming your smart enough to know that hte relay might have went out.

what you mean the car tries to overheat, thats a funny statement

I figured the relay was shot so i bought a new one and still i get the same results. i also replaced the thermastat. and nothing im thinking the wiring is messed up or something. I mean the temp needle goes 3/4 of the way up and stay there until i turned on the heat then it goes down to 1/4
