Tranny Grinding like a MOFO... How to fix?
My story begins when my pressure plate failed 3 weeks ago. I could not get my car into any of the gears w/ the car on. I could however, get it into gear w/ the car off. I received information on how to drive the car since the car would not go into gear w/ it on... basically high revs, then shift yadayadayada.
It kinda worked at first, but then it became more and more difficult to get it into gear. It got to the point where I was pulling it out of gear and jamming into gear to the best of my ability.
Meanwhile before attempting to drive the car home w/ a broken clutch, I was going to call a tow truck, but this technique was suggested to me and it sounded good at the time, + to save on towing.
SUMMARY...
I replaced the clutch in my car and now for the most part i can get my car in gears w/ it on, however, 2nd and 3rd gear will grind like hell even w/ the clutch depressed. Once in those gears, it functions fine.
I am seeking info on what I may have broken inside the tranny and what should I be looking to replace. Also, where to I go for competetively priced tranny parts?

you will have to get your syncro's replaced
you will have to replace the 1-2 set and the 3-4 set and that should fix any grinding problems you have
it should cost about 200-350 to get them installed if you have the tranny out already and syncro sets cost anywhere from 200 to 400 bux and you need two different sets so it will be a costly fix
