Need to know whats been going on in the lude world the last 8 months. Warning alot o f ranting.
Ok lost my job for a little while 8 months ago and havent had my lude since, was forced to turn it back into honda with 7k worth of mods on it, fucked up situation,(it makes me sick, I havent even looked back in this forum since) my father thankfully stepped up and gave me a 03 accord, 4dr 4cyl(transportation) I am now selling it and have had my eye on a 2000 1.8-t quattro audi. I am also about to move into a new condo, it would be a little cheaper to get another lude, and for some reason everytime I see one I drool, I still think its a great design, but the only way I would get another one is if I could get it out of the 13-14 sec 1/4 range. I am aware of how to shave 200 lbs of weight and know someone that can build the engine, I would like to know if anyone has somewhat reliabely hit 12s yet, Im sick and damn tired of slow cars, has there been any advances in the last 8 months of so, LOL did the skunk2 im ever come out? Just thought id say wusup and I cant outgrow the lude.

Firedrake (brian) has done on a stock block 14psi (i think)
at elevations over 5000ft
and there are a few others
around as well that have accomplished it

It can be done all motor IMO... I was going to give it a shot but opted to make use of my garage and buy a toy (CRX) to put a fully built motor into... I drive the prelude everyday and never was too thrilled over the idea of a fully built daily driver... Im just going to go with Type S pistons, JG Pro Series head w/ cloverleafed combustion chambers, JUN cams, my header and IM tuned via Hondata by my good friend Jeff of IB...

Thats good to hear, thats really good tuning, If I got another lude I will instantly sleeve the block and get some je pistons and forged rods, valvetrain the whole nine, Ive just seen some really nice setups before not hit 12s on fifth generations around here. I will do some searching as well.
My opinion, the Prelude is a nice, fun, some what unique Honda that is a great all around car. However, the Prelude is not meant to be a FAST straight line car. It is too heavy.
IMO, I am going to do the bolt-ons and appreciate the car for what it is, a legendary car that can keep up with many new cars and is VERY competent on a road course.
I see too many people dumping a lot of money into their cars, not being able to turn the Prelude into something they were expecting. They only get frustrated and end up selling the car.

Well it looks like there has been no great advancements. I dont understand why theres not alot more parts made for this car......I will post up about my 2000 audi or 2000 s2000 next week, I know what the audi can do for 7k

Very nice fastlude h22, I still however love the h-22 and am thinking of fully building one, what would I put it in im unsure of. Thanks to the inspiration of people like yourself.
there was to much body work and custom work, I had sold all my stock parts, I lost my job and thought I had another one fast, the manager bullshitted me(Fuckboy,ergghh). I could of ripped all my parts off and let honda come repo it, but that wouldnt of been right. So all the pressure and stress, I just turned it back in after making 9k worth of payments not to mention insurance, well anyway to make a long story short, Heavy drinking and partyin has helped me somewhat get over it and now I have another job, all is good, now the only decision I have to make is what the hell am I about to buy, I was all wrapped up in the honda world for years and now I dont know what the hell to do. Financial lesson learned.
