Default having a problem with DC headers on '93 GSR

My friend got dc headers for his '93 cdn GSR, and when he tried to install them the down pipe wouldn't clear the oil pan, and when he called DC they told him its 'cause he has a cdn GSR and not a USDM. And they don't make a Canadian version. Has this happend to anyone else, or is he the first person to install DC headers on a cdn GSR??? if this has happend, how did you fix it, thanks in advance
Thomas

i have DC ITR 4-1's on my 93 gsr and it clears. Normally it wouldnt clear the front crossmember without cutting it, but i have a placeracing member anyway.

it fits.

that's the dumbest excuse i've ever heard from a company, "cause he has a CDM gsr" WTF the car should be exactly the same except for the manual seatbelts. why would honda go to all that trouble to have a different oil pan just for canadian cars. the only thing i can think of is he has an aftermarket oil pan.

It's definately not an aftermarket oil pan...and the header that i ordered was for a 92-93 gs/gs-r. I even made the shop order another set just to make sure they didnt put the wrong ones in the box. If anybody has put headers on their 92-93 gsr...tell me what kind you got...cause i want headers on my car and do not to have to modify my oil pan...especially ofr the price I'm paying for DC Sports' name. If anybody knows whether or not a header from a B16 or B18c will fit my B17a1...lemme know
thanks

USDM Hondas are made in Canada... pop your hood if you dont believe me and look by the radiator there will be a little sticker that says "made in canada"

I thought the only differances are regional (North America, East Asia, Europe)

the header for a b16 will be a little short. jus cut a piece of your stock header and weld it on and you are good to go.

The header from a b16 should clear my oil pan though? that is the problem that i had with the dc ones.

I have a '92 Gs-r and it has a DC Sports header. It sounds like you were sent the incorrect header. I had a 94+ Gs-r header on my 93 gs-r, but it has a b18c block. I had to lengthen my exhaust because the header was shorter. HTH.
