help, popping noise when braking also when accelerating
When I brake I can hear a popping noise from the drivers front. After it has popped once it will not pop under braking until I accelerate. It is the same with accelerating if I just braked it will pop under acceleration but it will not do it until I brake again. I thought it might be the subframe or radius rods, but i have tightened them as tight as possible. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
axle going maybe, because maybe the joints in the axles are so worn theres play. its hard to tell without actually seeing it
Yeah, i'd say axles or ,as with my eg, the lower control arm bushings. I had the exact symptoms and ended up being lower control arm bushings.
best way to find out os to jack the car up unti you dan confortably get underneath. Then start JERKING on everything one piece at a time. You will find it.
check your suspension! jack up the car try move the tire left and right, up and down! it could be tie rod,upper/lower balljoint or bad axle.
i have this in one of my cars. i haven't looked into it yet, but i'm suspecting a ball joint going bad. i really dont think its the axles.

another vote for control arm bushings. It's the chassis sliding back and forth a tiny bit against the bushing under acceleration and braking. I've seen that problem in several cars. could be the ball joints for sure, but my first guess without being there to feel it with my own *** is the control arm bushings.
