Default Question about Bose system

i just bought some RSX-S seats for my DC2, and the passenger's side seat still has the Bose amp bolted underneath it. i was wondering if someone had specs for that amp, and if it would be worth using on my speakers in my car now. my cd player in my teg puts out 22Wx4 RMS, and i was wondering if the Bose amp put out more than that. if it does, it might be worth using on my speakers. if not, i'll take it off.

I think it will be better if you just left it alone... You might get some improvement but not much. if any

It is better to wire your speakers directly to your HU. The Bose amp was configured to accept just a signal, not a 22watt current. You'll get a cleaner sound if you connect the speakers to the HU.

The bose amp was designed to be used with 1 ohm speakers. That's why you shouldn't use bose speakers with a head unit. Just use your HU. Like everyone else was saying.

k, i already have my speakers running off my headunit. if i didn't, they'd be running off an amp, and i wouldn't have a question about using this bose amp.

thanks guys.

Keep it running off your HU, you have to. Running an aftermarket deck thru a bose amp will give you no sound. To keep the bose amp working, you need the bose HU. If you want your aftermarket deck, scrap the bose amps.
