Anyone with Sparco side-mount rails?
Been playing with the rails and sliders...with the sliders the seat was a tight fit in the side rails, without them it doesn't fit at all...i have a feeling that OG may have given me the wrong rail...mounted directly to the base, it's 39 cm maximum,(moving the rails as far apart as they'll go in the oval holes that they bolt into), the seat is 41 cm wide where the mounting holes are. The rails aren't flexible enough to accept the seat. I'm gonna call OG tomorrow, just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem, or didn't.

heh, thanx monkey_truckR
I called OG, there's only one model of steel siderail, so whoever measured out the baseplate at sparco is both blind and stoopid. I'm getting bizzy with the dewalt cordless, re-drilling for the size the seat actually is...basically, if you get a sparco seat, you'll be fabricating your own mounts even if you buy theirs

agreed, the regular (non side mount) rails and sliders that i bought took a lot of bending and pushing to get them in correctly. Sparco doesnt make the best sliders and rails, but the seats i have are top notch.
who did u order these from Aleph? FeelzSi from the bestbuys forum? https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=85306

I got the Type R mounting base (pretty sure), that was almost a perfect fit (drilled out the base holes to 1/2 inch on the right side, a little weight on it and voila. The problem was that the vertical rails mounted too close together on the base...so i drilled new holes in the right places on the top of the base, and now everything is mounted and ready to go. All i need to do is rig up a stock seatbelt buckle to either the side of the seat or the exhaust tunnel of the car...a friend gave me an old civic buckle-at-the-end-of-a-cable, the cable is kinda long but i'm sure i'll figure something out. Be nice to have the option of stock belt AND 6-point (once i get rollbar which i just ordered, no harness until my head is safer
