Anybody here with Garrett GT40 experiance??
I'm thinking about a Gt40 ball bearing turbo for my next project here, I'm gona be running a full race street manifold with it..
I'm just wondering what spool like is gona be like with the manifold, and a big bore b series.
Anybody with a similar turbo go ahead and reply on this topic..

IM going with a GT37 1.12 A/R. I was only able to drive the car for a couple miles during tunning then a bad injector and a headgasket that didn't seal caused my number 1 cylinder to eat itself.
I only really got on it in third gear once with a crappy tune it started boosting at 4200 then had 11psi by 5300 (wastegate was set at 11)....I couldn't stay in it on street tires.

you talking about have a GT40 turbine or a GT40 compressor side. The GT40 turbine side is pretty darn large for a streetable car.

Basicly if I had full spool at 6000-6500 with it runing a equal length manifold I would be happy..
All I wanna know is if thats possible at all with that big of a turbo or am I over my head again like I was with the 60-1...
And Chris lets not call it streetability any more, how bout we go with "highwayability"hehe

it would be totaly streetable. it be like drivning a non boosted car since its very very large.
how much boost you going to run?
people have made 600whp and pushed 25psi on a gerrett gt30 on a gsr.
so unless you want a hell of alot mroe than that why get it?
oh yeah just look at the compressor map for it. at peak range on a gsr it would be pushing 39psi
