Default I'm lost...can I turbo my H22 del Sol or not?

OK, well, I thought about it this weekend, and I don't want to go all motor anymore, I really think that I am just going to get bored with it and that a turbo will keep me satisfied for a while. So, the Skunk2 Stage II camshafts, valve springs, and retainers that I have sitting around still in the boxes are going to be useless. If anyone wants to buy them off of me, hit me up with a price. (shameless plug)

Anyways, back on topic, I really wanna turbo the H22 that I have in my del Sol now, but I don't know if it's even possible. I have the HASport mounts in the engine bay, no AC and a dual core B16 del Sol radiator in front of the engine, so there appears to be plenty of room. But is it enough?

Also, I realize that the cost is going to be pretty big, especially assuming that I build up the engine. Do I have to build up the head? I know that I won't be able to run high boost on a stock H22 block, but if I build up the bottom end with some nice low compression pistons, rods, etc., should I build up the head as well?

Finally, how much am I looking at to build the engine up nicely, get a turbo kit, and tune it with some Hondata or AEM management? Just a ballpark figure would be nice. Also, if there are any Turbo H22 threads that have a lot of useful information in them, please link me, I couldn't find much of anything using a search.

Thanks.

Yes, what you think your del sol is a 3000gt or something

It really matters your power goal. How much power you looking to make? size turbo?

You can spend anywhere from $4000 to $8000+. It matters what power you are looking for and what parts (brand and such) you use to make that power

Thanks for the reply man, I really appreciate it. I see that you're from FL too. As for power numbers, I'm trying to get into the 12s on slicks, maybe the 11s. I'm thinking that I can build up the engine for turbo and throw on a nice turbo with a nice level of boost. I definitely don't want to go ahead and stop at 8 psi on a stock block.

As for pricing on the camshafts, retainers and springs (I don't have the valves), I'm hoping to get around what I payed for all of them...$1000. I'd part with the whole thing for $900.

With 6ish psi, (on a t3/t4) you should be pulling 106 mph which is good for high 12s. If you want to go into the 12 and 11, either take the chance that you motor will blow or build it ($$$$). You have a closed (a1, 92-96) or a open (97+) deck block?

I was going to buy them for a gift for a friend but that is too much
