5th gen window motor question
Hey my rear passenger window wont go up. All the other windows work, there is no noise coming from the rear passenger motor. I dont have an amp meter so dont know if current is going thru. I'm guessing the motor is bad: 1. the regulator still works. 2. no noise is coming from the motor in question at all.
anyway i can mechanically roll the windows up until i can go to the junkyard and get a new motor? oh yeah i am in the process of removing the front passenger motor and sticking it into the rear pass window to move it up if nothing else....but i am rethiniing that part...too much trouble to d/c and then r/c the cables. i took the panels off so far.
i've already done a search.

instead of removing the "good" window motor to swap with the bad one - why not just disconnect the good one and run wires to the other side and power it up closed, then disconnect and button everything up until you can get a good replacement?
i had this problem. wish i could remember what was wrong with the motor. took it to the dealer though. i think the window motor got replaced. dont know, was my moms car at the time. for some reason the windows never go up as fast as they used to. anyone know why?

Take some silicon lubricant and spray it on a q-tip. Run the q-tip along the tracks of the window a couple times. Also when you crack open the door, spray some silicon lubricant in the actual window guide, this will help a lot as far as smoothness and operation

I have a 5th Gen. Accord (1995 LX) and am having a problem with my windows as well. They go up very slow and sometimes they wont go at all. After I turn my car off and on again they sometimes begin to work.
I am having a problem with the power locks as well. I don't know if these two are related but if anyone has had any similar problems some advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got a '94 sedan with pretty much the same problems. I think it's the main window control that's not workin (on the driver's window).
Well it seems to be a problem with all my windows. I know the rear windows motors can't be bad because I barely use those. However, both the driver and passenger side windows seem to be slow and then sometimes just not work.
I am still confused about the power locks going out as well. Any chance this is a related problem?

I have not tried swapping the rear motors to the front because I don't think its necessarily a motor problem because now none of my windows work. I cannot open any windows from any location.
Also my power locks do not work.
Any help? or am I going to have to dish out to a mechanic or dealer?

As far as your problem goes, it sounds like a switch problem. Have you tried to roll down the window using another window control or is it all of them?
