i accidentally pulled the oil pressure sending unit wire from the connector. i might have to get a new one because the connector is crimped and i cant get the wire to stay in. what would happen if i left the wire unconnected?

 

the car will throw a code and it will not be able to check if the proper oil pressure is flowing through the motor.
