Default Better than AEM V2 CAI (RAM)

I just bought a ram air intake that is specifically made for the type R 02-04 hatch but I but it on my 02 EP3 and unlike the V2 u literally feel the increase, subtle but u can feel it. It is a european company that my uncle bought a intake for his Ferrari and he recommended it 2 me. http://www.gruppemeurope.com/frc_honda.html

Those are Gruppe M. But I don't think they fit the US models without mods.

You got the scoop to work? The left hand drive cars have the windshield wiper right where it is supposed to come out....

This picture is of a RHD CTR. Notice the wipers, on the right side of the vents. Notice where the scoop comes out.

the nstall took all about 4 dayz with trial & error (unfortunately more error) but we ended up have to buy a new hood because we cut a little much but after we realilzed our error my friend had bought a CF so he sold me his old hood and we cut that and ordered a Vision intake piece from imparts.com but now it looks like a factory installed part which was what I was going 4.

Why did you have to cut the hood? The GruppeMs come with a new cowl piece. Also the company was started in Europe but the carbon intakes even for the Ferraris are made in Japan, by GruppeM Japan LTD.

I installed my GruppeM in all of about 25 minutes, the worst part was reattaching the rubber boots from the bonnet latches.

k20whitevic,

This is kind of off topic, but how do you like the Toda Fightex DAs? They are one of the 3 that I am considering when I eventually do swap the stock R sus out. The other 2 I am looking at is Crux and Quantum.

Another thing, how was the weight savings compared to the stock sus?

DC5RK20A, did you even read my post? You have a RHD car. The cowl piece fits a RHD car. Look at where the windshield wipers are in that picture. Now imagine a LHD car. The windshield wipers are on the OTHER side. The cowl piece will not fit.

post 5/17/2004 6:21am the Vision piece ordered makes like a U shape 2 avoid the wipers and come right from the hood if u cut the Gruppe M piece short and add Vision's piece.

i don't understand how it fit. wouldn't the reservoirs be in the way? did you relocate them? or is your ride rhd?

hmmm... imparts.com seems to stock a lot of drycleaning parts so post some pics of this thing...you must know somebody with a digi (maybe your uncle w/the ferrari)

so using the vision piece requires you cut the hood - yet it is "U" shaped to bend around the wipers????? what did you do about the reservoirs??? & lastly if you did buy a vision piece WHERE did you get it
