DOHC zc swap what ecu i have SOHC d16z6???
i have a d16 z6 engine in my car and am wanting to put in a DOHC 1.6 zc motor do ihave to send the ecu off to be chipped for dual cams or could i use the same ecu that is for a SOHC please help
In the past we used the PM6 ( 88-91 si ) ecu in this swap, unless the we had or could get a PR4 ( 90-91 ls ) On the dyno the A/F was a bit better with the Ls computer, but the Si will work.
Good Luck

d16z6 has a p28 wich will not work good with your zc
p28 is a vtec ecu
you can use a chipped p75 since im assuming you have an obd1 ecu
out of subject, but why would you want to swap your z6 for a zc?
