Default Small tach vid 140-260 km/h

Today I went to my mate Jan to install my latest brake improvement... a self made brake cooling kit. Jan has a fine garage which allows to work under the car without lifting it.

On my way back home I remembered this ITR vs Evo8 video which has been posted here before and I took my small mpg4-camcorder in the left hand to focus the tach. It´s small enough so i still can grab the wheel with two fingers...

I started at 140km/h and accelerated until I had to go off the gas because of traffic ahead...

Here is it:
http://www.pkvlexikon.de/Unben...m.wmv

Because the file had more than 8MB and we-todd is not working, I had to compress the file to 790kb... So please ignore the bad sound. Even the mpg4 sound is bad because my R is infernal loud in the cockpit... the camera couldn`t take it.

Please don`t flame me for going that fast, it`s legalin my country... I would have gone that fast even without filming

Is that enough to beat an Evo8 with my stock engine ?? I doubt it a little bit. Though my shift from 4th to 5th was lousy... took way to long, could do better to go ahead speeding in 5th.

There is a video on this board where a Type R beat an Evo 8 on the highway..
Why should I get flamed for normal driving ?? I did nothing forbidden ?

Remember THEY dont see things the same way we do here in europe
I see nothing wrong with your video, its perfectly normal even here. I have a vid of a ctr beating an evo 7 , it seems the 8 is even slower than the 7 so can´t see why not.
Sven is your firewall still on?

With a stock engine i highly doubt you will be able to pull on an EVO, the ITR really runs out of steam after 100mph. 1.8 liters N/A can only go so far

My car isn't that "fixed up". Only exhaust and drivetrain mods. I'm sure my friends catback made just as much power as my whole exhaust setup did.

His 257whp (awd mustang dyno) vs my 179whp (dynojet 248c).

His 3220lb car (truck weigh station) vs my 2520lb car (same weigh station).

The ATS FD and exhaust brings 5th gear to life. 4th is done in a hurry too.

Anyways....I dont think that is enough to take an EVO. The 4.4 final drive kills topend.

I dont know. Maybe you have a weak engine. Mine pulls from 80 to 145 pretty fast..

You have to realize, the ITR is a very light weight car. It weights 700lbs less than the EVO which is equivalent to around 49whp.
