Default lug nut wont come off. pls. help ASAP

Hey, what's up everyone? Well, my brother has a 90 hatch and he was trying to take change his tires until one of the lug nuts just kept spinning. now it is really loose and it will not tighten back up either, so right now it is just sitting on there really loose but its not going anywhere. Anyone have this problem before? Thanks for any help.

So the actual stud (lug) is just spinning with the lug nut?

Try to tourqe the lugnut down so the actual stud will bite into the hub and hopefully will release the nut.

I already tried that. It won't go anywhere, it will just keep spinning.

whenever i run into that problem i take my impact and put it on the lugnut, pull up so its angled and zip it off. gotta pull up hard so it kinda holds it still. it rips the threads off with it. you will have to replace the nut and stud of course.
