Need Help On Auto to 5-speed conversion
I have an automatic LS integra and I'm changing it to 5-speed GSR..I need to know if you can use the factory GSR mounts or do you have to get a custom mount on the passenger side?? Any input would help..
Thanks

You can use the factory 5-spd mounts & brackets all around EXCEPT for the upper transmission mount. On the EG/DC chassis, the bracket on the frame rail is located higher and further back, so you either need to cut it off and re-weld on a new bulkhead bracket from Honda into the correct 5-spd location, or get a mount like the HCP EG-AT mount which will allow you to bolt a D-series or B-series 5-spd transmission into the EG/DC chassis.

PM me if you need one.

your an idiot.
DC2 = EG
your 94-01 'teg has the same engine bay layout as the EG civic.
i am doing the same swap, you will need the JDM **** mount. i got mine for 130 shipped and its bad ***... very worth it.

we did this conversion on my friend's ls integra and used a place racing mount. that one fits well, and i'm sure the hcp one does too... just to give you some options.

no its not a pain you pussies.... its 2 simple bolts to undo the stearing column and the middle peice slides right off.. then you jsut have to manuver the brake and gas pedal up there. took me ****** prollie an hour and fifteen mins. for the pedals/clutch MC install.

jesus relax *******. its definitely not pleasurable to be on your back under the dash for an hour and 15 minutes ******* with a pedal assembly. plus what you described is just undoing the steering column cover. i thought it was easier to actually undo the steering column, just be sure to mark the alignment.
no, the steering column cover is held on by 2 clips
the steering column is held to the rack and pinion ( i guess) by 2 bolts.

what the hell were you guys doing to do the pedal swap. Took me like 30 mins, for the pedals, mc, and clutch lines and you don't have to remove the steering column, i had no problem with it in

no steering colum removal required just some tight spaces to get your paws into. and if you have acess to a wire feed welder for like 20 min then just buy the 5 speed crash mount from acura, drill your old one out and reweld the new one. crashmount under $25.00 idf not then the place mount werks good
