I'm buying a 91 integra monday w/ a blown headgasket. No anti-freeze on the oil dipstick. There is oil in the radiator. Just curious as to what i need to look for when doing the head gasket. The ring and bearing wouldn't be affected bt that would it?

they shouldn't be if the car was taken care of prior to the blown gasket. just look for scored or cracked cylinders, makes sure the head and block mating surfaces are in good shape....and theats pretty much it...if thats what your looking for

 

I hope you are getting it for CHEAP... that way if other stuff is screwed up you can drop another motor in the car and be done with it....

it does need work but it's not in that bad of shape i'll get some pics posted soon. there is only really one rust spot about 2"x5"
