Default buyer beware: Modacar internet nightmare

I was totally ripped off by Modacar purchasing an intake for my civic. That SOB, John Modaca, told me over the phone a hundred times he'd send the filter that never showed up with the tube. I've heard similar stories about this guy. He could get punked soon.

Who else do we need to avoid? Let's hear stories.

i'd suggest bugging the **** out of him until you get the part.maybe contact the BBB(usually worthless, but might work).coming on here to complain won't really solve anything, especially considering this is your first post-you don't have a lot of credibility.Modacar is a pretty big business-i've never dealt with them, but i've never heard anything bad about them.i doubt a post on a discussion forum is going to hurt their business or push them over the brink into shutting down.
BTW-you know Ashton Kucher?!

I already tried the "squeeky wheel gets the oil" routine - and no - posting here will not shut them down, but if I can keep somebody else from having to deal with the same bs I'd feel better about the whole thing and be less likely to resort to physical violence. Now I have two posts.

ok first of all this is the wrong forum to post this **** in , second , ******* call him and ask him to send you a filter , keep bugging him you think your his only customer????

you wernt scammed , you just arnt persistant , and yes maybe you shouldnt have to be , but i havent found a company yet that if they have forgotton somthing , you dont have to bug the **** out of them .

i know all these guys personally and johns not a scamer.

half of these bad stories about companies are about dumb *** customers who think the whole world belongs to them.

let me guess odysey , you called once and thats it right

I would say that your story hardly suffices to be considered a nightmare. I would suggest calling again, just as Hella JDM has suggested. Modacar is a very large business and they have many customers, whom are all very important and are trying to be pleased by Modacar. Call again and see if maybe someone else can help you. Remember, attitude is everything. So if you call and you are an ******* expect to be told to **** off. If you call and are personable then people will go out of their way to help you.

A nightmare would be if you sent your money 6 months ago and got nothing in return. My guess is that you got whatever you purchased last week and havent gotten your filter yet, but you have only called one time. Dont bad mouth a business until you actually have reason to. For all you know your filter could be on its way via UPS. Call Monday man.
