Default H22 tranny question

Hi,
I found someone who can make an AT to MT swap for me,
but I' m not sure which tranny I should put,
I got a F22A2, I know all Preludes tranny are interchangeable, but that some have shorter gears.
Is it true that putting a H22 tranny on a F22 will put a lot of stress on the engine ?
Has anyone try it and can confirm that ?
I would like to put this tranny as it has shorter gear, I live in an island and there are no long straight roads here like your freeways :T
So I would like to know if it will be good or not to put this tranny on an F22A2 engine.
Thanks a lot

With the H22 tranny, there will be less stress on the engine because of shorter gearing. By stress, I mean less torque load for comparable road speeds.

Think about highway driving though. F22 has a much lower redline so cruising at 4000 ish rpms on an F22 isn't too cool.

An H23A/F22B DOHC tranny would probably be a good compromise, it will accelerate much better than an F22 one and still have a decent cruising rpm.

I don' t get why a F22 wouln' t run well when plug with H22 tranny.
If it works fine with H22 that has more power and more torque, why won' t it work fine with a F22 that has lower power-torque.
I thought that having short gears would make it easier for the F22 to reach the same speed with less work.
Has anyone see or try the combination of this engine/tranny ?
