Default oil and filter

just wondering what kind of filters and oil you guys use.
i used to use castrol 10-30 and pure one filters, then i switched to mobile 1 10-30 with a factory honda filter and went from a 8.3 to a 8.1 1/8th mile. the oil was the only thing changed and i had been runnig 8.3's for over 2 years

just bored and figured i would see what other ppl do

btw: my motor has blown rings in it and doesnt seem smoke any worse with the mobile 1

thanks for the info

on gas , most manufactures make a 5w20synthetic oil......
if for race only some manufactures make a zero weight synthetic oil....

the oil filter is a factor depending on if its a race or daily driven car.....if race only wix makes a very low restriction fliter , not reccomended for anything but trace use.....

the back of the box of the filter gives its micron filtration rate.....the lower the number the less restrictive the filter is, but with race only oils and filters the change rate grealty increases.....MOST crew chiefs change the oil and filter between rounds....

i have been in the oil change buisness for 15 years , any question u have i may be able to help...................

regards
james

what about anti-drainback valves to prevent dry start up? Can I get a low micron filter with a anti drainback valve?

i think with the blowby that im having now a zero weight would be a bad idea but on the motor im building now i will try it and the wix filter. i normally change oil after every race night which is around 10 miles ont the oil (10 runs).
but thanks for the info

Bosch is made by filtech who used to make the honda ones.
