i just bought a 92 accord ex and its making a real nasty sound when you **** the whell all the way left it sounds like metal grindin on metal but it doesnt do it any other time then when its all the way to the left, does anyone have any idea what it might be?

 

sounds like you need to check the CV's

 

yeah but its not a normal clicking sound that the cv ussually makes , in the trunk i found a broken cv and it was broken from the inside so it leads me to beleive that its something more serious then that

 

could the axle's be completely shot?

 

i d k i hope that all it is is an axle a friend of mine took a look at it and suggested it might be some bearin in the tranny , and i cant afford to do a whole tranny rebuild

 

If it only happens when you turn i would think its the axles.

why would a bearing in the tranny, make a noise only when you turn the wheel hard left? its most likely in the axle/cv area.
