If i were in your shoes I would rather buy the polyethelene IM gaskets made by AN-R, Hondata, and Nextgear. They're around 60 bucks shipped and Nextgear has a dyno plot where someone made 8 whp.

it may help midrange on a stock or mildly modded R, but personally I think any kind of a build and this plate will hinder performance

just guessing due to the fact it makes your IM openings smaller

it was REAL expensive when i saw it too, I just got a hondata gasket

2 different things completely. The Ventuli (or Venturi before anyone starts arguing) plate was designed to make midrange power, and you WILL lose top end power. My roommate had a B16 in his hatch around 97. There was a Ventuli plate sitting at the shop, so we decided to try it, and the results were as expected, a little midrange grunt, and the motor fell flat up top. Dyno results showed a loss of 11whp peak, with a large drop after 5500rpm.
The Hondata style gaskets don't make power, they allow the intake mani to remain cooler, due to the spacer.

good if you want usable power, bad if you enjoy those 9500 RPM passes

It actually falls flat well before 9500, even before 7500rpm.

you have to remember most spoon stuf were designed for a specific race they enter. the ventuli plate is mainly for b16b (ctr),were by using this you gained midrange but lost high end. perfect for some of the short tracks, just like the toda headers were you gain torque but lost high end.

not reallygood here in the u.s. were you either hit 1/4 or most tracks were wide open. some autoX people that i talked to said they liked it. but thats about all they are good for.

The Ventuli plate was designed for the B16a, not the higher flowing head, and intake manifold used on the B16b.
