Motortrend is stupid!
Well it's great to see Motortrend is ontop of the sport compact car market, after their great comparison of camaros they reported that comptech has made an exhaust for the new RSX which adds 10 hp to the rear wheels!!! I guess an exhaust gives you an all wheel drive conversion!

I especially liked their comment about how the character of the Type-R was lot in the translation...It's not a damned Type-R!!! Do they even know there's an ITR in Japan that will eventually come here? What morons, I think I'll write them on this one.
I agree, they probably never even drove the old r to compare it! the same goes for car and driver, they decide to test 4 cylinder tuner cars so they pick the weakest ones available, "here's an Audi TT with a knn filter up against a civic with and exhaust and header!" Why don't they pull out the 400+hp versions that exisit out there!
I am sure Motortrend dont care to waste there time with 4 cylinder cars. You will never see a 400Hp civic in any suffistocated sports car magazine. They dont care to list all those mods it took just to reach 400 horses. When all they have to do is take a stock corvette Z06 or viper and review it for what it is.
It's funny though because they want to cash in on sport compacts popularity but not go all the way, and vipers and z06's get boring, stock cars are boring.

I have a TRD catalog that claims the TrD exhaust for the 2000+ Ceica GTS gives an extra 14hp to the REAR wheels.
Of course, that is not quite correct
The TRD exhaust (on my car) actually gives 1 hp *peak* at the front wheels, and 14hp at the cam change (only because with the stock exhaust there is a 5 hp drop right when the cam profiles change, the TRD elimiates this drop and gives about 9 hp gain at the cam switch).
Looks like the RSX exhaust makers are just following Toyota's lead.
But, I can fit my foot in the end of the TRD exhaust (if I'm wearing racing shoes). Can you say that about the Comptech part?
