Default what non vtec valve cover fits a d16z6

i'm looking to build a sleeper crx and i know i can have vtec grinded off my d16z6 valve cover, but i think it would be sweet if i could just bolt on d15 crx hf valve cover. does any one know what valve covers will fit.

some 92 d16z6 engines came w/ a valve cover that DOES NOT say VTec on it.. look around for those.

yeah you should look for one of those, the non-vtec covers are a different shape and will not fit at all

Are you going to hide the VTEC solenoid in the trunk to really throw everyone off.
Or how about grinding the engine ID off the front of the block?
If someone KNOWS what VTEC IS, how is a valve cover going to make any difference in mantaining the the illusion of a "sleeper"?

I got an idea, see if you can find a nissan, mazda, toyota, zetec, or ecotec valve cover to fit. That should confuse them at least long enough to let you rev to 8K, dump the the clutch, do a flaming burnout, and slip away unnoticed.

yes i have a d16z6 in my rex now but i'm planning on putting in a jdm d15b which takes the same valve cover i'm pretty sure and not alot of people know the diferences in d15's, but most people here wouldn't check id #s. ya i was thinking of moving or hiding the vtec solinoid. and non honda owners only know to look for the word vtec somewhere.

Well, to each his own.
Still not sure what you are trying accomplish with this contrived, overly complicated deception, though? Hustling college tuition maybe?
Good luck, I think
