Default snippet of my new paint job.

will be put back together on monday, letting the paint cure naturally over the weekend. Decided to go back with the stock Rio Red on my car, never realized just how faded my paint was and how much orange is in this color. It is bright for sure! Will look good all together!

just to note. I got rear honda emblem shaved, kept the front, painted bumpers, moulding, mirrors and door handles.

It'll look good, although personally, I think it would look better if you left the moldings/rockers/mirrors/handles black....or even gave them a coat of trim paint. Nice job though, make sure to post some updated pix when it's all done!

well I am lucky in a lot of ways. If most of you guys remember I teach HS. And local CC runs an autobody class out at my HS. So, students did all the work, students base coated it and the instructor actually did the 3 coats of clear for me.

I used PPG Omni paint system and bought a new front bumper cover through them (wholesale prices!) 38$ for cover and $215 for paint and grilled them hot dogs friday, that cost me $15. So $268 for everything...........then I had to buy $25 worth of clips to put everything back together nicely. $293 all together. There were 34 total pin dents and just plain ole dents fixed together. One of the VERY few advantages of being a teacher.

Rear emblem shaved? You mean the one on the black glass? How did you do this?

What rims are going on this car? Can't wear a new suit with old shoes.

Lookin good! I would have shaved the front emblem too....I think it sticks out like a bullseye on the EF's.

I saw a guy with a JDM front end and he put the 'H' right back on it; I shuddered.

well if I get my digi cam back tomorrow I will show you guys some pics of the car mostly put back together. I had my molding painted, but there was so much armor all I had put on em he couldn't get them clean enough so they wouldn't fish eye, so have to buy new mouldings and have em resprayed. oh well, I will update with pics tomorrow guys.

I think it will look good if it's all painted right.

The problem is most people don't take the molding off to paint it with the car...and then it looks like crap at the joint and it flakes etc.

Also, Civics don't have the black bottom portion CRX's have so it doesn't look like crap if the whole car is painted one color.

Very nice job. I'm glad to see they removed the mouldings to paint them.
