k20 vs built h23 ?? could a j30a v6 fit?
as you guys may have noticed i just hydrolcked my h23 and am now exploring new ideas. i have totaled up a build price for the h23 and it will around 3g's forged and sleeved. i have also found a complete k20a front clip with ecu, tranny, axles, and full wire harness for about the same price.
has anyone ever tried to put a v6 in a lude. it looks like there could be enough room. although i am not to familiar with them and what they kind of numbers they produce.
basically i have about 3500$ to put in to motor and want to consider all my options before moving. please tell me what you guys think

3g's is a DAMN good deal for a fully built h23 motor. forged and sleeved you could throw a turbo on and boost the **** out of it.
You are aware that fabrication and installation costs on a k20 is going to cost at least another $3k right? and thats if you find someone that can do it for you on top of make custom motor mounts since it has never been done before. after the motor is finally in youll have a lousy 180-190 whp. not worth it unless you spend another $4-5k on building the k20a. dont even waste your time with a lousy v6, the transmissions blow.
if u dont buy the h23 let me know whos selling it.

hmm would u rather have a stock motor that puts 180 to the ground or a built h23 that puts close to 180 to the ground? Plus that k20 weighs less than that h23 motor. If you build up the k20 in the future is will blow away the h23, anyone who disagree's doesnt know what they are talking about.
I doubt he means fully built h23 for 3k. So for 3k hes getting cams, gears, retainters, springs, pistons, rods, pulleys, knife edged crank, intake manifold, header, port and polish, blueprinted, clutch, flywheel etc? yeah i dont think so
k20 responds to mods way better than a b or h does. And your wrong again it wont cost 3k dollars for mounts you dumbass, quit trying to be that kid who thinks they know everything and mis informs ppl.

Listen to the man dude! Your V6 will still be slow and require a hell of a lot to make it fast. The H23 with sleeves and pistons (lower compression ones that is, although I think H23's might be good for boost already. I think they're 9:1 or so?) and rods and such and you can boost the hell out of it. This really shouldn't be a debate at all. Sure a K20 will respond better to bs mods, but a turbo could be bought for the SAME price of all the mods i'd assume you'd get for the K20, and you can SMOKE that K20 with those mods with a boosted H23. Again, this really shouldn't be a debate IMHO.

yea i think im gonna go with the h23
. plus i'll be running 10:1
not 9:1 because i probly wont be bosting til next year since im dropping an *** load of cash in it right now. i'll be doing a 100 shot with 10:1 so that'll hold me over till boost. i also dont want a shitty n/a ride either since im not gonna be sprayin at every redlight. i think i'll be dlose to 300hp with n2o and around atleast 200 sumn with out because i allreasdy have precisionh23a's gude head and IM with the usual i/h/e/pulleys. i was probly pushing 180hp with that head on my stock block.
oh yea nobody is selling me the engine. thats what it costs to build it

Better stick with the H23. I just wanted to comment that I saw a someone here in Houston put an Acura Legend V6 into a 2nd generation Integra. It ran off and on with some problems. Money and time make anything possible.

the v6 will be problematic to maintain and fit. might put too much stress on your front end. it's rated at the flywheel for 240hp/212lb tq. building up the h23 is the best bet.
