thanks
I got mine from Tom Blaney at SBMS Racing, and I absolutely love them. I know he specializes in CRX stuff. Here's his website:

Really good price, too.

I am running the same mounts from Tom. So far I have been very happy with them and they have taken a beating.

Thanks for the link. Definitely want the brake ducting set up. Was going to have to fabricate one. I had a funny issue with brakes this weekend that will be a separate thread. Replaced the master cylinder saturday night to fix the issue after a track day saturday but still a soft pedal after bench bleeding and running enough ATE Blue to bleed four darn cars.

My favorite brake duct solution was suggested by Mr. Kwicko on the Resource.
Go to Home Depot or similar hardware type store. Where they sell Shop-Vac products you can buy 3" hose and nozzles to use as scoops/vents.
Also, I have been told that routing the cooling air to the caliper will help prevent the caliper bracket from flexing when hot.

I know people who have had some luck using those for the hose and connections. However, if you route them like mine (low) they take a beating so durability comes into play. I would never be able to run the dryer ducting, for example, unless I wanted to change it several times a weekend.

Do you have ABS? If so, you may need to "exercise" your ABS system. This sort of thing has been known to be a problem on the Type R, and that seems to be the solution.

Nope, I have a 1988 CRX so no ABS. Appreciate the input though. Either I get lucky when I bleed it according to the factory manual sequence or I have fried some o rings and proportioning valves when I turned my ATE Blue non-blue. Staying on a Z06s *** running Goodyear Eagle slicks and keeping the supercharged NSX behind me at bay was a lot of fun. Brake ducts will be necessary with the r compounds now giving me greater stopping power considering my hp levels (190fwhp/1800lb. chassis) I get the car moving pretty darn fast on the straights.

The one thing that you have to keep in mind when you are trying to make your own brake ducting system, is that you are still screwing WITH THE BRAKES. This is one place where penny wise is really true. A couple of things can happen here, the units wont work effectivly an you have wasted money the first time and with pay for your next attempt. The hose will come lose and you will get black flagged and your entry fee is wasted, or the hose/duct will come lose, tangle around the wheel and you will be lucky to only bend sheet metal , (think bigger dollars).
Even if you don't use my duct system please make sure that you spend the money for the red silicone hoses, they are strong, flexible, and will outlast anything the home depot can sell you.
