Squeaky noise when driving...
I'm not sure what it is, but it sounds like it's coming from the front of my suspension. It happens when i reverse or accelerate, and sounds like something is rubbing. It's high-pitched and is very noticeable, even when the windows are up. It happens at slow and high speeds. I put my car in neutral and revved it to see if still happened, but it only seems to happen when i'm moving. As a side note, my car's had a CEL for about a week now, i haven't been able to check it out until this weekend. You think they're correlated somehow?
Any help much appreciated,
Thanks
Jess

the noise could be a lot of things... ball joints, worn bushings, etc... you'd have to actually look under the car to know for sure.
it's almost cetainly NOT related to the check engine light, as it only deals with the engine and fuel related systems.
