im still havin problems with my tranny. I did the swap myself,never pulled the cord out of the tranny, just detached it from the inside of the car, could i have bumped it and made it come loose in the tranny? could it just be an electrical thing? wwhile swapping my motor, one of my bright friends decided to rip the wires out of one of the plugs that goes into the sensor to the tranny. (97,ex, SOHC vtec d16y8)


He tried to push them back in and clamp them on. Do you think that it didnt connect the wires to the metal and he just clamped it with the plastic...making it where i have no connection ? I donno , its awkward BECAUSE

when we had the calipers and crap off, and tires...we started it to make sure it was working....so we put it in reverse...they spun backwards, drive-went forward....we put everythign back on....let the car down..threw it in drive ...nothing...reverse..nothing...it didnt even jusk into gear...WTF is going on??? please help me out if you know anything....i have been doin this swap WAY too long...i need to get this fixed and i will FINALLY be back on the road.

 

What cord are you talking about? Did you guys install the clutch right?

 

sounds liek the VSS is damaged. If manual trany, if should go in gears... It could be the reverse signal sensor as well, need picture...
