Default Idle issues with JDM ITR T/B and intake manifold on B16a2

I installed my JDM Type R throttle body and intake manifold on my 99 B16a2 engine and now I can't get it to idle right. It pulses from 1000 to 2000 rpm and when I adjust the idle screw I can only get it to settle at 2000 rpm. Any lower and the pulsing starts again. Also, there are no check engine lights. Any suggestions?

When you replaced the T/B did you replace the gasket?

It sounds like you have a Vacuum leak somewhere or your TPS is off. Check voltage coming off the TPS and see what it's set at

agreed with above

also make sure your throttle cable isnt too tight and that the iac motor is plugged in and clean

Check all the vac lines, usually a vac line will throw a IACV code. Spray around your gaskets with carb cleaner and see what happens.

I used all new gaskets, TB and intake manifold!

I checked that, it's fine.

I just test drove the car and it seems to run great, but I stll can't get a steady idle below 2000 rpm.

I don't have a voltage meter. I do have another TPS on my SI throttle body but it looks like it is permanently attached to the TB, on the ITR one it has screws.

here are a couple of pics. I installed the vacuum lines exactly as they were with my Skunk 2 intake manifold.

I plan on getting my car dyno tuned tomorrow morning, will this idle issue at all effect the performance of the car?

is your IAT sensor plugged in on the intake tube? 'cuz it doesn't look like its plugged in on the intakes #2 runner.

See if adjusting your TPS sensor is loose and/or try adjusting it.

I'm using my IAT sensor from my 99 SI harness (it is on the intake tube). The integra one is just there to plug the hole.

On a side note I got my car dynoed today and I only put down 168@8300rpm and 111tq. I was hoping to get it into the mid to upper 170's.
Anyway, can a TPS sensor be purchased by itself or is it only included with the throttle body?

damn thats good for a B16A!
is that wheel hp? or to the crank?

normally a stock B16 would dyno about mid 145-155'ish hp to the wheel.

168 is good tho!

try adjusting it with your throttle screw and see if that affects it at all. IT really does sound like you have a crazy vacuum leak some where.

just a stupid question but when you replaced the intake mani did you replace the gasket or forget to put one in? Double check

if it is still doing that at idle try tightening any IM nuts that might be feel a little loose, any nut torqued a little off might let air out and cause a fluctuation.
