Default Stolen!

Well I was just reading the post about the guy in Chicago and I must steal a phrase from him....... I never thought this would happen to me. I wake up yesterday morning @ about 4 a.m. to my roomate asking me where my car is. I'm half asleep and I respond it's in the driveway. Roomate states to me "no it's not".

I don't think I've ever gone from half asleep to fully wide awake as fast as that. I then ask which one (both my CRX and my GSR are parked in the driveway). Roomate responds the red one (GSR), so immediately that is a relief (although monetarily the GSR is worth more, sentimentally the CRX is worth way more to me). But I have to run outside and see for myself. I run outside and sure enough there is an empty spot on my driveway where my car is usually parked. Then I ask myself, "brian, did you get way to fucked up last night and forget that you parked somewhere or got a ride home. I then recap the prior nights events, and come to the conclusion that after the Kings vs. Wolves game I went straight home. There is no glass on the ground, the car did have a very good alarm and as far as I know I didn't hear it go off. (but I sleep like a rock).

So I go inside pace around a little bit and try to gather my senses and call the police. I think to myself how could these a**holes have gotten me. As time passes the whole concept starts to sink in and the "violated" feeling gets worse. I guess it is better for both me and them that I didn't catch them, because then I would have came out of the house with my 10 .40 cal. black talons with their name written all over it, which coulda turned into a even worse situation (I know I'll catch some flack about a car is not worth a life, but you don't know the feeling until it happens to you, and those theives should have asked themselves the same question before they decided to steal my ****).

So all of you bay area folks keep an eye out for parts for sale off of a Milano Red 94 GSR pretty much stock except for AEM intake and Greddy Exhaust. Let me know if you find out something and I'll offer a small reward for information that leads me to the person(s) who violated the security of my homestead. And if the folks that took it are on this forum then let's just say you better hope you get away cleanly or the cops catch you before I do. The rest of you, keep your car close and do whatever you can to prevent theives from taking your ride, because I found out the hard way just an alarm ain't gonna stop them, and I'm sure my insurance company is gonna be a tight wad and try to stick it to me during claim settlement

damn sorry to hear it bro. I know you heard before but, an alarm just doesn't cut it anymore. I personally have some "extra" things on my CRX to make sure it'll never start unless its me trying to start it. The best trick I heard of is take your ECU out and make a jumper for the ECU harness. They'll have to tow my CRX to steal it. I'll keep a look out- thieves

I'm sorry to hear about your car dude.
I wish thieves would disapear for good.

I have an alarm, couple of kill switches, a dog that will bark if anyone comes near the garage door. The garage door is right outside my bedroom window, i sleep with my windows open, have a motion detector with huge flood lights, surveilance camera facing car from above and diagonally so i get a clear shot of the whole car with no shadows.
Oh! I also have a 9mm and a very bad temper.

You say that you had an alarm, but it still got stolen?

What time was it that you last activated the alarm and left the car? do you set your alarm with a little remote keypad? are the door locks also operated with the same or similar remote keypad? have you recently given your car keys to anyone that you do not know very well so that they could do some work to the car?

Still haven't found the car yet...I wonder how long it will take if at all..... I would expect to at least find a frame somewhere. As time goes by you remember things that were in the car when it was stolen, including my CD's alot of important paperwork my "Giants" gear, used when going to a game. A tool set, which I'm sure they used to help them strip the car and some other things..... Which makes me even more angry which is more reason why those theives with my car better hope and pray that I never find out who they are.

I just got home from the Kings game that night at around 11:50, yes I had a clifford intelliguard 6000(i think is the model number) w/intellistart 4. So it has to armed by the key fob/remote. I only had the car for about 11 months and did most of the work myself, except for twice when I had the oil changed at a local Honda Dealer because I was too lazy to do it myself. The license plate was California plate 3HSA066

Sorry man **** happens to the best of us. I should know it happened to me. But on the bright side my insurance wrote me a check it kinda evened it out considering those **** only took my wheels. So in spite of it all im still pissed about it and paranoid. So when my brother asks me if he could use my car i say "where are you going? Is this place secured?" Well at least he's getting his S13 back from shop either today or tomorrow.

Another thing its best that you save all your receipts sure your company may not issue you exact $$ but its better than nothing. I paid $100 for tint and they only gave me $25!! Keep in mind I provided receipts.

Also I've read in article weeks ago regarding the hollywood shooting. It pertains to 2 car thieves trying to steal this guys car. They manage to roll it out of his driveway. He wakes up takes his gun outside and yells. One of the thieves run away and the other points a gun at him and owner shoots first killing him.

What happens? He gets booked for murder. I'm going to try and find the article if I can't find it forget what I said.

Best of luck bro

You know I asked my cousin who is a Peace Officer in San Diego County about the same situation, and his first question was "where was the car parked" and I told him it was in my driveway. He said since my driveway is considered "my property" I have all the right to shoot the person if I fear for my life, in the case you mentioned the guys was valid in fearing for his life (the theif reached for a gun) but the car was now off of his property. Also I'm sure they take into consideration the circumstances like wether or not you shoot them just once to stop them or unload a whole clip to try and kill them. My cousin did stress that even if the theives were in my driveway and I shot at them, I'm responsible for whereever else that bullet may end up at, for instance hit another person or property.

So you thieves out there ask yourself is that stolen swap really worth your life or limb?

"Car Theft Suspect Killed; Owner Booked For Murder"

Los Angeles: On Monday, April 5, 2004, at about 4:15 a.m., Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of shots fired in the 5000 block of Maplewood Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a 25 year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The initial investigation disclosed that 26 year-old Yoon Ho Song heard someone breaking into his car, which was parked in his driveway. Song armed himself with a handgun and saw two men pushing his car out onto the street. When Song ordered the suspects to stop, one suspect ran away. Song then fired at the other suspect, killing him.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld until his family can be notified.

A follow up investigation by the detectives revealed that the deceased was unarmed at the time of shooting. Song was arrested and booked for Murder and is being held on a $1,000,000 bail. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, April 7, 2004.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Hollywood Area Homicide Detectives, at 213-972-2910, or 213-972-2901. On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk, at 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).

This news release was prepared by Public Information Officer Rudy Villarreal, Media Relations Sections, at 213-485-3586.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ok here is the link to that article:

http://www.lapdonline.org/pres...8.htm

I apologize based on this info, it turns out the suspect was unarmed at the time he was shot. In any case I would bring both a gun and a bat. If they have a gun I figure either them or me. But if they don't I'd threaten them with a gun and beat them with a bat to a bloody pulp/ pistol whip em/ shoot them in the leg or their reproductive organs. If the officers ask "I don't know self defense so he was coming at me and..." make up some other BS. If there are witnesses oh well....

You know if you shoot the perp in the legs, you wont get attempted murder.
