Default Ek owners I need your input

I currently have a 96 Accord Ex with intake, header, exhaust upgrades. Its a 5spd and in very good condition mechanically. I am looking into selling the accord and buying a 96+ civ coupe dx or ex 5 spd and going turbo. I cant decide whether or not it would be worth it. I just think a smaller car and two less doors would be more fun to drive and the most attractive thing about civics is that you have a hard time finding a company that doesnt make stuff for the d16. I am on the fence right now. Please give me some feedback as far as what you like and dislike about your ek civics. thanks

I like that my EJ8 (the Coupe Code) is prudy lookin

I dont like that Its been in the shop more than its been driven by me. (doing too much work all at once)

I like the extras in the EX over the DX personally, but I dont have any plans for racing with it in the next few years while im at school.

I dont like how 96-00 are theft rockets.

An accord 2dr of that year can look nice, definatly different. I am just not a big fan of the 4 door.

Bottom line, what I like you might not. So do what you want and best of luck.

got a 97 CX (hatch)...love how simple it is, no power anything, no cruise, nothing extra and with a GSR swap and how light it is, it gets down when it needs to

If you do get a civic DONT GET AN EX, so not worth it, you will be trading it in sooner then later, or sawping the motor, sold mine in 7 months and got the SI... especcially if you plan on boosting it, way more potential with the b16 or equivilant

Go with an EJ or EK, they are fun and cheap and parts are easy to get!

is this a valid worry?
My accord weighs apprx-3040lbs, I dont know the weight of the civ coupe but I know it is considerably less than my 4 dr accord. Will the 107ft/lbs from the lighter civic feel really slow?? Obviously I will do work to the engine but I dont want to get lit up by the person who buys my stock accord
Am I worrying too much?

i love my 97 coupe (EJ8)
if you get one ditch the singlecam go with a bseries ( or mayby even an H22 if you like to drag) DOHC VTEC defines honda performance
personally ive got a OBD1 GSR swap with a bunch of bolt ons, a clutch, and a good suspension setup, like i said I LOVE IT. i had an accord (94) sedan it was pimpin but the civic is much more fun to drive
oh yeah the disc brake conversion is also a must have

just my opinion
