question about antenna wire; head unit removal
I am taking my Kenwood cd player out of my 'teg and was wondering where the antenna wire is located? There is an a special plug that was put into the back of the deck when it was installed (by Tweeter), and the other end of that plug is connected to the antenna wire. However, I can't see where the antenna wire goes after it goes under the carpet. Is it necessary to remove the entire carpet to find it's source? Lastly does the end of the stock radio wire have some sort of jack (looks like a headphone or even rca jack) or is it a harness or what?
Thanks much

when i put in my alpine deck, the antenna wire is a larger thick black wire w/ like a metal probelike thing that plugs into its own hole, separate from the rest of the wiring.
just unplug all the wires from the deck, and take it out. you dont need to pull the whole wire out... or go under the carpet.. elaborate some more if i didnt answer the ?

the antenna is separate from the main harness.
all you have to do is wire the radio to the custom Honda Harness, plug in the harness to the car and connect the round antenna wire. that's IT!
