***I have an idea for a safety feature...tell me if I'm crazy.***
I posted this a month ago in FI, but I wanted to see if any of you tech guys had anything to add. BTW, heres the link to the old post: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=77277
Ok, I have the GReddy Electronic Warning Gauges, which have an output for when a gauge hits the limit I set (IE, theres a problem). The wire is ment to be hooked up to a extra warning light and or buzzer.
Is it possible for me to hook this up to a relay that will cut either my fuel and/or ignition so that if theres a problem, my car automatically stops pushing? That way, no matter what, if I hit a boost spike or my wastegate fails or something, my car won't keep pushing and I wont build more boost.
If I do/can do this, what would be better, cutting the fuel or ignition? Or should I get one of those MSD soft touch revlimiters that softly(safely) cuts my ignition?
So, what do you think?

Yeah, I was thinking that would be the ideal way, but I have NO idea how I could do it. That thing runs off of RPM. I would need to fool it into thinking the RPM was past the limit, and I have no idea how to do that.
Think I figured it out: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=86494
