Can you use stock airbox with short ram intake??
You can find a way to modify it to work. Are you trying keep the sleeper look? If so, you can just use the stock airbox and get a k&n drop in... If you still wanna use the short ram. I had a friend slip the stock rubber intake arm over the AEM piping, and put the airbox in the stock location and it looked totally stock while still using the aem shortram

I just realized the other day that by gettin' a short ram intake I am gonna suck up a **** load of hot air into my engine.... Was wanderin' how easy or difficult it is to rig an aem sri to fit like stock.
I don't know about a GSR, but on my LS an AEM short ram almost fit. I could only screw down 2 of the 3 screws that hold down the cover of the airbox.

just build an air box for it..
with some heat resistant tape on the outside and in...we had central air put in at work and they left some thin flat steel pieces there i used it and just drilled bolt holes where i could find bolts..
or you could just get a k&n filter and take the lid off your stock box "i think" it works just as well

I made my own ICEBOX. I used a GSR Iceman short ram on my LS with K&N and it fit perfectly into the stock box. I then sealed the hole where the intake goes into the box with some high density foam with adhesive backing. I did cut the bottom of the box to allow a 3.5" plastic tubing to be rivited to to the box and go down behind the bumper. Works just fine for being free.
