Default Input on new build.

well i picked up a gsr block for 200. only thing missingis crank , rods and pistons. so after tinkering with the idea of boosting my b16a i have decided to give all motor another shot. heres what i have planned for this gsr....

gsr block
CTR pistons .25 oversized
ITR crank
ITR rods
ARP rod bolts
ARP headstuds
oem headgasket

Stock b16a2 head
itr/ctr cams
stock cam gears

and Uberdata..

questions are with 12:1 compression will be okay on 92 octane...also what kind of numbers can i expect from this kind of build. i know its not all that but im expecting a little more hp and tq than what i have right now with my b16a. also any input is greatly appreciated

Have you considered running the 2 liter B16A setup from Tech 43 Racing? I think you should look into it before dumping a lot of money into a 1.8 setup.

yeah.. but i dont think this build will cost me very much.. im getting most of the parts for very good prices.

itr crank im getting for $50
itr rods for $75
Pistons and rings $200
arp rod and head bolts/studs $150
machine work $200
misc **** $200
uberdata free
b16a head already have
ect...
and of course the very very misc stuff that you never calculate in, an extra $150

estimated total cost for this build $1025 + or - 100 or 200 here and there. which is probably alot cheaper than the stroker kit im assuming.

sounds like a pretty solid setup. i dont think you will get real impressive numbers using the b16 valvetrain. do you have access to the ITR valvetrain??? that would be better than the b16 for sure.

but then again, im an internet engine builder. mine is still stock. edit. i saw you had itr/ctr cams. adjustable cam gears will help w/ dyno tuning. and you should uprade the valvetrain the the itr/ctr stuff

92 octane is fine with that set up. Just get it tuned with 92 octane.
